EFCC Commences Investigation Across PPPRA's Offices - Subsidy Beneficiaries, Targeted.
In a latest development, officials of the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) have raided the offices of The Petroleum Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) on invitation by a petition written by the Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke. STILL A DEVELOPING STORY........
However, if we are to go by speculation, it would appear that this move is the next hand being played in the game of fuel subsidy removal by the presidency.
You would recall that in his speech to announce the reduction of petroleum pump price to N65, the President , Dr. Goodluck made particular mention of scrupulous elements who have high - jacked the subsidy removal protest to further their narrow personal interest. The president did also state that a complete audit will be carried on the financial books of (PPPRA) and those found wanting will be appropriately dealt with.
Going by this indications, we may as well expect a thorough job from EFCC and some prosecutions of implicated persons for two main reasons;
1) In a move against the famous cabal whose interests are served by fuel subsidy but are completely obstructing the interests of Powerful foreign interests.
2) An opportunity for Jonathan to redeem himself and destroy the famous cabal that have always had control over him.
