Nigeria's Execucutive Arm Of Government 25% Salary Reduction - Over 800,000 Government Jobs Creation

President Goodluck Jonathan, Saturday night, in a national broadcast. announced new policy measures to ameliorate the hardship on Nigerians occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.

President Jonathan said that some of the measures include; the cutting of salaries of all political office holders by 25 percent; the directive that all ministries, departments and agencies(MDAs) to reduce their overheads; and reduction of all overseas travels by government officials to the bearest minimum in 2012.

The President also promised to sanitise the oil industries, just as he promised to launch by tomorow a robust mass transit programme, in partnership with states, LGs, transport owners and banking institutions with zero percent interest rate.

“To save Nigeria, we must all be prepared to make sacrifices. On the part of Government, we are taking several measures aimed at cutting the size and cost of governance, including on-going and continuous effort to reduce the size of our recurrent expenditure and increase capital spending. In this regard, I have directed that overseas travels by all political office holders, including the President, should be reduced to the barest minimum. The size of delegations on foreign trips will also be drastically reduced; only trips that are absolutely necessary will be approved.

.......In my personal view, i think Nigerians are very very tired of Promises. And President Goodluck Jonathan Knows it. I have a good feeling about this promises From Goodluck Jonathan, because with the kind of anger Nigerian demonstrated in the last few days, only a fearless fool will dear deceive us now. I dought if that can be said of Goodluck Jonathan.

Well guess what, life is indeed a battle at every point we have victors and failures. Before we decide which you are lets first of all establish that their are battles and their are wars. For a young spinster for instance, getting married is the battle, having a happy marriage with great kids the war.

A lot of us get stock in the battles of life; wining little artificial victories that end up costing us the vital victory that should make us happy and fulfilled in the end.  

Were do you stand, are you one of those that will make sure you look good before others no matter the cost, at the expense of the dignity of others? or one of those who believe that the end justifies the means, and so will literally climb on any one available to get to your goal?, worse still are you one of those naive dimwits who do not have a strategy at all, who believe that life is just one huge roller-coster and that people are good and can not be deliberately malicious? well guess what the bible has to tell you  "And we know that the whole world liet in wickedness"  

Were should you stand as an urban professional bearing the future of our generation because you are. First off, that is what this blog is about so their will be plenty of time to talk about that.
