Federal Government Reduces Fuel Pump Prices To 97 Naira.

President Goodluck Jonathan this morning announced a reduction in the pump price of petroleum  by the federal
Government from N141 to N97 naira. In a move that seems to have been taken swiftly by the federal Government
to falls tall further break down of economic activities as well as law and order in the country.


Presently, Labour leaders are yet to make a statement about the development. However it is not clear if the decision
to reduce the pump price of petrol in Nigeria. to N97 was reached on a round table by the federal government and labour leaders.


President Goodluck also stated in his broadcast that a full audit will be carried on the petroleum sector, and persons
found to have laundered the nations resources in the sector will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He further stated that the cost of governance will be drastically reduced.


He ended by calling on labour to see reason with government in the light of the latest development, and call off the strike.
